Happy Holiday! Somehow August is flying by, and I am determined to squeeze every last bit of sun out of it. A beach day this weekend is must, and a cute outfit makes a day in the sand even better! I love this fabric, and what better place to sport it then your back-pockets! Check out the step and supplies after the break!

What you need: AEO Denim X Kick Boot Jean Fabric Scissors Marker Hem tape Fabric Glue

What you do: Step 1: Turn your AEO Denim X Kick Boot Jean into shorts by cutting a straight line across both legs.

Step 2: Choose a piece of fabric that is large enough to cover the back pockets of the jeans. Lay the fabric flat on the jeans and trace the shape of the pockets onto the fabric.

Step 3: Create another outline of the pocket that is 1/2” wider than the initial one on all sides. Cut around this outer line.

Step 4: Apply hem tape to the inside of your guidelines and fold the excess 1/2” of fabric over the tape. Press down to secure. Do this around the entire perimeter of your fabric until you create something that resembles the shape of your pocket.

Step 5: Adhere the fabric to the pocket using using fabric glue and let dry. Be careful not to glue the opening of the pocket shut.

Step 6: Repeat these steps again to create another fabric pocket and a unique pair of jean shorts!
